XANADU
Lewis & Clark Theatre Company is proud to team up with YHS to offer XANADU showing July 27th at 9pm.
In March 2020, dozens of Yankton High School students were rehearsing for the upcoming spring musical, Xanadu, when schools closed in response to the COVID pandemic.
One year later, Yankton Area Arts, in partnership with the Lewis and Clark Theater Company, is giving the cast the curtain call they have been waiting for! The cast will reunite to perform selections from the musical, a spoof of the 1980s movie starring Olivia Newton John and featuring Gene Kelly.
This performance will highlight students from the YHS Class of 2020 and will feature 2001 YHS Grad Tim Hausmann in the Gene Kelly role. Xanadu is directed by Amy Miner, with choreography by Kathryn Reimler, and music direction by Julie Amsberry.
YAA Summer Concerts are Free to the public because of the generous support of the City of Yankton and the Yankton Parks and Recreation Department
